A warm welcome to the scientists, artists, teachers and innovators out there. My name is Sara Blackburn and I’d like to call myself a creative ecologist. Instead of separating my passions for art and science, I aim to combine them in novel and exciting ways. Whether it’s conducting cutting-edge research on conflict mitigation between people and predators, or painting wildlife murals with local youth groups, my aspiration is to unite people and wildlife through engaging science, creativity and collaborations to promote community-based conservation.
“In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”
